Invites Went Out...

So, all of you should have gotten your invitations in the mail! :) We are very excited to see all the RSVP's coming back! I have spoke to a couple of people who are still trying to find a nice place to stay, so I wanted to update you with availability as of today at hotels on the Block.
http://www.springhousehotel.com/    They have rooms still available but it is a 2 night minimum
http://www.blockislandhotels.com/  We still have 14 rooms available here under the Ferri wedding. They will be on hold until July 23rd.
http://www.blockislandresorts.com/  They still have rooms available in the Dewey Cottage, Dodge Cottage and Anchor House.

Plus, there are still some great rental homes available for discounted prices since it falls in the OFF SEASON. Ballard Hall Real Estate is a great website to check out and find a house if you can pair up with other friends. :)

I also just wanted to remind people that our wedding starts at 12noon at St. Andrews Church. It is such a great day trip if you cannot stay over on the Island. You can take the ferry over in the morning and we will provide transportation from the wedding to the last Ferry at 5pm and 6:30pm.  But, we would love for you to enjoy Block Island if it is possible!

Last thing... Many people have asked me about transportation around the Block. Well, Block Island is only 4 miles long, so there are many options. Let's hope the weather is great in September. There are bike rentals and scooter rentals if you are up for some adventure. There are also 10 different taxi companies on the Island. So, it will not be difficult to get a cab if needed. The cabs run until 1am, so the night is endless!! We will have a bus on the Island for transportation from the church to the reception and also back to the ferry for those heading home. We also are coordinating for the bus to make a few stops to pick up guests for the church around 11:30am on Saturday. Right now, we have Harbourside Inn, National and Hotel Manisses as pick-ups. But, believe me, you can walk everywhere and it is so beautiful!

Jay and I are soo excited for this fun filled wedding weekend! We can't wait to show you a fun beach party wedding! :)
